Auravedic Botanical Actives Pulpy Facewash Honey Almond {Product Review}

Price: Rs 150 for 100gms

Ingredients

Pros
- made of natural ingredients
- no SLS (I am searching for a face was without SLS)
- cleanses the skin really well
- leaves the skin soft and doesn't stretch it

Cons
- stings the eyes real bad!!!
- not suitable for excessively dry skin as it stings badly!!
- if you use excess of product, it makes the skin feel stripped
- it would have been great if it came in a flip top packaging

My Experience
I got this product back in February for review. But, that time, my skin was going through a dry patch so when I used this for two-three times, it really stung my skin badly. So, from personal experience, I can say that this product is really potent and is not for people who suffer from any skin issues like eczema and psoriasis. For the record, I don't have any.

it smells really funky like a jelly (in a good way)

So, I had to discontinue using this product that time and I had talked to the Auravedic people too regarding this issue. They also advised me to stop using it immediately. But, last month, I ran out of my face wash stock so I decided to give this a try again!! My skin was healthy and not going though any rough patches that time so the face wash was good.

Coming to the cons again, the biggest problem I have with this product is that it stings my eyes every time I use it. It was really frustrating. Yes, I do understand that it has natural ingredients which are not suitable for the delicate eye area. But, I do expect not to end up hurting my eyes every time I wash my face. Otherwise, it cleanses the skin really really well.

Also, another issue with the product is that since it comes in tub packaging, sometimes I do pick up a little more of product and if I do use excessive product at one time, it really makes my skin feel stripped off and dry. The usual amount to be used at one time is a pea size of the product and it forms a good amount of lather and leaves the skin really soft and doesn't stretch it at all.

A flip top packaging would be a great idea for this product so that one can control the amount of product coming out of the bottle. Overall, I do want to give another variation (Rose-Saffron) of this a try but I am holding back just because of the stinging issues. Yes, it is definitely worth a try and one tub lasts for a month easily!!

Auravedic Pomegranate Grapeseed Face Polish {Product Review}

Price: Rs 300 for 100gms

Ingredients
Hope you are able to read the ingredients list and I am loving it :)
Pros
- moisturizes and firms up the skin well
- leaves the skin dewy and glowing
- unabrasive on the skin
- polish is very creamy and feels really good on the face

Cons
- exfoliating granules are too less, but probably this is not a con either!!!
- don't know if the anti-aging results are permanent

My Experience
Its been a long time since I have used a good scrub for my face. I am too lazy and my closet is too full :D So, when I received it, I was too excited to wait and used it almost right away. And, may I start by saying that it has a really weird smell but I love the pink color of the polish. It comes in a sturdy plastic jar packaging which I find very convenient.
The polish is very creamy instead of bring granular. It has very less density of granules so I never really felt it as a polisher. Instead, it was more of a luxurious indulgence and pure bliss for me. I love the way the polish feels, the way it spreads on my face and neck and the way it feels. But, if I have to about exfoliation, it doesn't do much of a job there.

The granules are very less in density and they don't really hurt the skin when being used which is good thing but I don't know if they really remove the dead skin cells either. So, I always use it more as a mask or a nourishing cream. I apply it in the morning shower after washing my face and leave it until I finish my shower. And, then, wash it off with cold water.

Results? It leaves my face glowing, firmed up (comparatively), glowing and dewy and supple. I really like the way my skin feels afterward. I have used it at least twice a week and still, I have managed to only finish a very little product so I would say that this will last for a long time. It definitely suits the dry and mature skin but I am not sure how well it will suit the oily skin because of its richness in oils and butters if you are breakout-prone.

      Auravedic Facial Skin Repair Moisturizing Lotion {Product Review}

      Though I am very happy with the Auravedic cleanser and scrub but I am not sure whether I like the moisturizer or not. No idea about its price and it is available only in Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Goa.

      Ingredients
      Kokum Butter, Mango Butter, Beeswax, Sunflower Oil, Olive Oil, Almond Oil, Grapeseed Extract, Olivem 1000, Oilwax, Neroli Oil, Purified Water, Phenoxyethanol
      Amazing ingredients and almost same as the scrub except the granules.

      My Experience
      Ok, so it is full of butters and oils. So, yes, it seems to be the best bet for dry skin. Oily skin people will run away from it and I can't vouch for that. But, I can say that it does suit combination skin. Ok, it was not love at first use but I gradually learned how to use it properly. When I used it for the first two-three times, it made me sweat horribly so I decided it wasn't suiting my skin. Later on, I had a stroke of luck when I used my toner to hydrate the skin properly and then apply this moisturizer and massage the face and neck. It takes 2 minutes to get absorbed properly into the skin and it keeps the skin well-hydrated and supple for a long time. It does stand up to its claims of toning and firming the skin but I did not really see any difference in the fine lines so can't comment on that. May be it will take more time to show that effect. But, otherwise, it did not break me out at all even though it has so many oils just like the scrub. I used it after using the scrub and my skin feels soft and toned. So, overall, my experience was good with the moisturizer but still I think it is more suited for dry skin people.

      My Recommendation
      Dry Skin beauties would love it. Oil skin people would not like it but normal skin and combination skin people can give it a try!!! It is definitely a good product but not for all skin types.
