Dare to Change: Get up 15 minutes early

I absolutely love cartoon images and wish I could feel like this in the morning :)
So, this is my second challenge for the month. And, trust me, I think I have jumped on the tougher bandwagon really early!! Coz, I am so lazy that getting up in the morning is literally a huge challenge for me. These days I am getting up at about 7:30 on average.
So, now, I shall try to get up at 7 sharp or latest by 7:15 AM
I know some of you might think that getting up at 7 is not exactly achieving a huge thing but yes, it is, for me!! I have been trying to do the same since like ages together. And, failed miserably every time. And, do check out the cartoon below :)
I could not NOT share this one with you :)
Btw, I am sure you guys might also be interested in how the first challenge is coming up? Well, to be honest, not really good coz this weekend I had moved and was busy with all that and really tired and then, yesterday and today, I came back from off at like 7 - 7:30 which is like really late for me.

So, all this is tiring me up coz I really do not get time to relax. And, if I can't relax, its difficult to follow any routine. And, worst part is that I am not even able to take out time to write posts :( And, yeah, I am struggling on it right now at 10 by which time I should be reading P.G.Wodehouse and preparing for my sleep. And, honestly, I do wonder how you guys with extremely hectic schedule really manage to take time for yourself and your blogs. Kudos to all of you :)

So, are you ready to join in for the second challenge and if you really took the first one, how did it go?

Meals should be full not heavy {Health}

Ok, so there is a lot of difference between feeling full and feeling heavy after finishing a meal. Many people tend to get confused. You should always feel full but any meal which makes you feel heavy or uneasy is supposed to undergo a review.

What I call full?
First of all, any meal of the day should be stretched over a time period of 20 minutes of consumption. Why? Because, only after twenty minutes, can our brain signal that whether we have had enough of food or not. Also, I know that these days its very difficult for anyone to spend so much of time on a meal.

We all tend to have meals on-the-go. So, obviously, you wouldn't know whether you are over-eating or not when you have so rushed a meal which almost always makes you feel heavy or you do not have enough of food at once. So, make your food full of fiber. That will ultimately make you feel fuller.

White foods
Avoid foods which are white because they generally end up bloating you so you feel heavy instead of full. When consuming white rice, try to take unpolished instead of polished as it tastes just like rice (for those who can't like the taste brown rice). Also, unpolished rice has the advantage of being lighter than the brown counterpart.

What I suggest?
The reason I am doing this post is because very lately I had done a post on Bloated Stomach and what all makes one feel uneasy after a meal and as I have been talking about a changed place since a bit of time, I am eating organic food (non-perishable items are all organic mostly from 24 Letter Mantra which is USDA certified).

Even though I am pretty sure that I am eating just as I used to, I do not feel heavy or bloated at any point of time or rather have not felt it yet!!! We are served unpolished rice here and I usually avoid it at night but yesterday I had it at night and even then, I was full but not heavy.

So, make sure whatever you eat makes you feel full and not heavy. How do you prefer to eat?

Wheat Grass for anti-aging

Wheat Grass is an extremely useful and beneficial plant. It is rich in so many minerals and nutrients and can fight against so many diseases in our body ranging from acting as anti-inflammatory agent to preventing cancers in the body. Wheat Grass has been a highly prized medicine during the time of Egyptians. Spray wheat grass juice on a burn or inflammation and voila, the skin gets soothed immediately. It is that potent. Why? Because, it acts at cellular level within and outside the body.

What is so special about Wheat Grass?
The green pigment of the plants - chlorophyll - is the real 'hero' of the wheat grass. Plants use sun light to make chlorophyll and thus, trap the benefits and energy of direct sunlight in them. Thus, consuming this green pigment will help to release this energy in our system and allow it to make beneficial changes in our body. Not only does this energy give a boost to our health, but it also improves our appearance. "Healthy In, Healthy Out".

You will ask why not other greens help then? Well, because Wheat Grass is one of the plants containing the highest amount of chlorophyll in it. About 70% of the plant constitutes of chlorophyll. This releases the much needed energy and catalyses the action of healing and regeneration within the body. Thus, comes its contribution in the anti-aging arena.

Our body can absorb as much as 60% of the wheat grass juice. It is an excellent cleanser, toner and also protects the body from harmful radiations from the sun. It can stimulate blood flow in the body so extremely useful for collagen repair and also, rejuvenating the dead hair follicles.

It is also rich in fiber helping in weight loss.

How to consume Wheat Grass?
Juice it or chew it. Juicing is an easier option as chewing might or might not be a pleasant activity. But, it can be included in salads and dishes which requires garnishing along with parsley or coriander. While juicing, you can strain the juice and apply the pulp on your face and leave it on till it dries or for 30 minutes. Wash it off after the stipulated time.

You can also grow your own wheat grass. Buy some organic or non-organic wheat grains from a farmer's market and lay them in a tray. This is a great resource for instructions on how to grow wheat grass at home. I have to yet give it a try.

Did you know that this 'Kuttu ka atta' is really very nutritious. It is a fruit not a grain as you all must be aware of. But, it is equally rich in the nutrients it possesses. Buck Wheat is especially high in fiber. And, fiber is important for our body to clean out all the toxins making detoxification of body easy and weight loss. More the fiber, better the digestion and better we look.  Fiber also helps in curbing our cravings. While surfing the internet, I came across a really great video which has lot of information about how to lose weight - the do's and the dont's. It is around a 20 minute video. But, before I share the link to the video, I want to make you aware that it is actually an advertising video for their weight loss program. And, I do not have any kind of affiliate link with them or I am not doing this for any personal gain of mine. I do not earn anything out of it. I am sharing this link purely because I liked the whole lot of information shared on there and would love you all to gain that information too. So, there I wrote about my disclaimers so here goes the link: Weight Loss Tips. Enjoy and hope you learn something new out of it.
