Yay..my hair style stayed for an entire 5 hours!!!

I had mentioned long back that my hair is very ill-behaved and I am especially horrible in keeping hair styles for more than half hour. But, today for the first time, my hair really stayed in one hair style so that makes me soooooo happy :) No, it wasn't any intricate style. It was a simple side pony and my bangs were secured with pins so that they don't fly off in the auto!!! Still, it happened and then while watching the movie, my hair did get a bit spoiled due to rubbing with the seat back. Yes, I often sleep off in the halls :D No, I didn't sleep but I was irritated!!! But, my hair did get weighed down by the end of the day :( Gotta do something about that. Any ideas???

On a side note, if you are wondering which movie got me irritated, it was Heroine. Aaarghhh...I could kill MB for making such a movie and for the especially lame ending. May be it was befitting but I would have rather preferred a more ironic ending!!! First glitch was that all bits and pieces were borrowed from various movies and real life scandals and then woven into a script which was all broken and inconsistent. Second, the protagonist is weak, completely without a shred of backbone and determination, keeps on crying in the entire movie and not taking a strong footing at any point of time which is pretty irritating. Yes, I can imagine what she was going through but unfortunately, you can hardly feel as if you are involved in her story coz its too fantastic. Its not realistic at all like Page 3 or something which actually makes someone expect a lot from the movie. So, lets just say that watch it when it gets released on the television but definitely not worth wasting money to watch on big screen. The best part of the movie was Randeep Hooda who did a fantastic job (it can be called a guest appearance). Except for that, I guess the movie was loosely hanging. I often felt like it would break into the Mar Jawaan track from Fashion. Yes, its too close to fashion but the later was much better.

Did you watch it yet? Do share your views on the movie. And, of course, the hair style tips too :)

My good deed for the day :D

this was my request
Ok, so, this is pretty random and means a lot lot to me :) No, I didn't do anything great!!! Its just that I helped an unknown (redundant) complete stranger to select a hair style for her engagement next week!!! How did that happen? I posted a request on the Luxy Hair facebook page regarding a hair style which I found very pretty. And, later on, this girl turns up and asks for the video for my request.

Me: Hey, I have just put up this request so the video is not yet up!!!

Her: Oh, I needed an open hair style for my engagement next week.

Me: You should check out their youtube channel.

And, I go and check out their youtube channel because I remembered a very pretty greek goddess hair style I watched a while back. I dig it up and post the link to the video for her. And, she liked it a lot and finalises on the hair style. Well, I don't know if she is gonna stay with it till next week (girls are liable to change their minds) but then I felt like I did a very nice job :D And, I am feeling sooooooo happy for her.

Btw, before I forget, yes, you would also want to know about which on eI chose so check out the video. This is from Luxy Hair which has a youtube channel run by two twins - Leyla and Mimi and they are just soooooo beautiful and have gorgeous hair and their videos are amazing!!! I kinda developed a girl crush :)

PS: This happened yesterday

Hair Grows more if tied up? {Hair Care}

[Source:hji.co.uk]
Statement: Hair grows faster if you keep it it braided or styled and not simply left open.
Well, what is the fact behind this statement? Does hair really grow just because you braid it up. If you keep it tied all the time, doesn't it put pressure on the hair? So, what are the answers to these questions??

Yes and no The statement is true in one sense but it can prove much stressful for the hair if over done. When you tie your hair, you are putting some pressure on your hair. If this pressure is less than the tensile strength (weight the hair can bear) of the hair, it will help your hair to grow a bit. But, if the pressure becomes too much for the hair strands to handle, the result is hair fall and breakage. So, keeping your hair tied up is a good thing but when done in the most comfortable way. You should not feel any pressure anywhere on the scalp or the hair while your hair is tied up.

Another reason why tying up the hair is recommended is that it prevents the hair from being left loose and open and this way, they will lose less of their moisture and turn dry. If you have observed, the more you leave your hair open, the more dry they become. If the ends of the hair are well-secured, your hair will look beautiful int he long run but avoid putting pressure on the roots. And, always keep on changing your hair style - make it a braid sometimes, pony tails can be high, low or in the center or even on the sides, create a bun. The focus is to make the hair pull down but make sure that you are not rough with your hair and when you keep on changing your styling of the hair, it distributes the pressure on the hair equally on all the hair strands because of which there is a uniform growth.

And, don't forget to leave your hair open for sometime everyday. Hair too needs to relax but always make sure to braid or tie your hair while going to bed because that is the time when it loses most of its moisture.
