Did you check out Priyanka's song? I checked it out just now. Honestly, I totally hated the lyrics or the video but loved the way she sang it. If given a better song, she would really do justice! Btw, I felt she was trying to emulate Hilary Duff. Did you feel so as well?

Is the blog name easy to remember?

Another opinion needed from you all. What do you think about the blog name? Is it easy to remember? Actually, this is more a question for the newer readers because oldies might have got used to it by now :D So, don't forget to comment :) Oh btw, another thing is that I have put up pages listing the brands and categories in the navigation bar on the top so you can check those out for easy accessibility of posts of your choice. What do you think is an ideal gift for Dad on his 60th birthday?

Ok, rule out gadgets of any kind, watches, clothes, shoes, belts, ties and any other accessories, what do you think would be great for dads? I am so totally confused!! Oh btw, any ideas on photo restorations? I was planning to get some restored and put in collage frames, a little bigger size so that they would be easily visible. I have got so many of my infancy which I totally love (yup, I am self-obsessed of my infancy photographs, I was THE cutest kid ever) :D Hehe, ok, that was probably too much for you to digest. Anyways, I would love feedback if you have ever got photo restorations done, especially somewhere in Hyderabad.

Just gossiping, I watched so many movies back to back today after a very long time!!! It started with bits of Mere Jeevan Saathi right in the morning (starring late Rajesh Khanna), Beauty and the Beast, Adventures of Tintin, some movie starring Julia Roberts (didn't catch the name), Spiderman 3, Harry Potter and Goblet of Fire (I am not exactly a fan but its nostalgic), Ice Age (which again is very nostalgic and I totally love Manny), Mission Impossible 2 (which is my fav of series, Tom looks hawt in it, I was once a huge fan of Tom, even my parents knew about my craze :D, totally like the girl as well in the movie) and coming up in some time is Basic Instinct. Ok, don't take me as a pervert but honestly, I love the story line and execution of the movie and seriously, Sharon Stone looks amazing!! And, loving Micheal Douglas in it. He is the second oldie I like after the sexy Richard Gere :D And, Clooney is probably third or it might be a tie!! What about you? How did you spend your Saturday?

Even if you can guide me where to get them in Hyderabad, preferably Cyberabad area, it would be really helpful!!! There is one photoexpress.in which is really good. You might wanna check it out. A Day of my Lazy Life!!

I know that my not putting a face to the blog might be very irritating to many people and they might lose interest in reading the blog per se. After all, its been there years almost and uploading a snap is not exactly a big deal and neither am I a country secret!! But, I value my privacy and I am not exactly comfortable putting my snaps online.

Let me tell you a secret, ok, not exactly a secret. All my friends know that I stay away from social networking platforms! Yes, I have done orkutting when it was in vogue but never again did I really become a prolific twitterer (to give due credit to myself, I did try!) or updated my fb statuses. In fact, I had deleted my personal fb profile just months after I made it (I got bored among other things) and ever since I have remained away from it.

No, don't think me to be a snob or looking down at people who love to network socially. Its just not my cup of tea. And, since I am not giving a face to the blog, I thought I would at least give a personality. That's why I thought of sharing how a day in my life exactly is. You have been duly warned that the post is long and boring, really!! (I don't even know if you really wanna read it)

8:00 - I try to wake by this time!! Yes, it kinda keeps on varying but more or less, 8 is the average on working days. The Dare of waking 15 minutes before has failed miserably and in fact, I am getting up 45 minutes late now :D

till 9:30 - I take my own sweet time to get ready. I love long baths and leisure me-time after it. I had read somewhere (on some blog) that the skin care routine is like a meditation for that person, its not exactly true for me but its my little luxury, especially, on a day off. That's why, I like to really spend on luxurious body oils. And, then, time for breakfast which also lasts like 20 minutes.  I like heavy breakfast.

10:00 - Rushing to office. Sometimes, I reach by this time, give or take 15-30 minutes. 

till 5:30 - whiling away my time to rush home (in this case, room)!! talk to parents couple of times, might attend some PR calls and some really boring meetings and bang my head against my desk! hehe...I do sound as if my work life is miserable :D

5:30 - 6:00 - reach home, have tea and maggi (yes, its bad for health, absolutely, so I avoid to take it everyday), trying to search for healthier alternatives, currently contending with brown bread! The best part of my routine is the quick 20 minute walk from work to home. Yes, I like to stay close (sigh...little luxuries of my life) :)

6:00 - 8:00 - apply oil on head, remember the elaborate oiling routine! if a non-oiling day or I feel too tired, I directly jump into shower, get refreshed, sit on laptop, churn out a post or rather try to, check comments and reply to them!! if I get extra time, I try to look at mails but these days I am simply not able to so that's the reason why you are not getting replies for your queries! 

8:00 - 9:00 - dinner time while watching TV. Nah, I don't take an hour long dinner, its only 10 minutes but can be anytime between 8 and 9.

9:00 - 10:00 - if I have mood for walking, I go for walk otherwise I love to devour books. Sometimes, I do try to write few posts but I am trying not to keep my laptop open but for example today, I am writing this post at 11!!

11:00 - try to sleep if not hooked on to a book or not feeling sleepy. More or less, I do think my everyday is pretty lazy, don't you??

So, that's more or less my routine on weekdays and on weekends, you can imagine a bear lying on the bed with snacks in one hand and book or rather the KINDLE in the other :D And, I so hate to put up posts on weekends when I am in a book-binging mode! For those interested, I am right now reading Georgette Heyer and The Rozabal Line from Ashwin Sanghi and some nonsense like The Vampire Academy which I'll probably end up not reading (yup, already given up trying, its BORING).

Btw, if you are thinking of buying Kindle, I would suggest Kindle 4.1.0. I am totally hooked to Kindle these days and I am so glad I got the normal Kindle and not the Fire coz its so easy on eyes just like books where as Fire is almost like an iPad with all the fancy things like touchpad and backlight and other things which are extremely harmful for eyes even if they look and sound really nice.

So, hope you enjoyed the post and for those awaiting my pic, I am sorry to disappoint you but I doubt if I am going to put it up in the near future.

Ok, so, I wanted to have some fun with all of you hence this post :D As I had mentioned a few weeks back, the blog would be completing three years of existence owing to you all this December, I want to do something really special for my loyal readers. So, yup, a surprise in store for four lucky people among the ones I have in mind so if you want to join the list, start commenting from today :D 

Yup, I know it sounds like a ploy to get more comments but the problem is that I wouldn't know if you are a regular reader unless you comment, right? So, yup, I want to reward those people who take precious time out of their daily lives and leave meaningful comments on my posts and really bother to read through my rants!!! Kindle arrived!!

it looks big in this but its just 6"

If you guys remember that long back I had written a small post for the Lakmecontest held by Indiblogger, I had won Kindle in it. Finally, after a very long wait, it arrived yesterday. Ok, I had no idea what to expect coz I was hoping to see something like iPad and this turned out to be something so small and totally black and white (its not Kindle Fire)!! I initially thought it might as well be a toy or dummy Kindle :D Not yet started using it, though. Had issues with the internet connectivity!!

Oh My God!!!

So, how was the Ganesh visarjan?? Oh, did I share my cute little eco-friendly Ganesh ji with you? Check him out :D Ganesh Visarjan has a very special place in my life and I totally love this day. In fact, in Hyderabad, it always rains without fail on the final day of immersion. Even today, it rained a bit and the weather was just awesome!!

And, yes, I am extra happy today. As I said, this is a special day for me and somehow all things just fell in good places today so my day was absolutely gorgeous. Oh btw, I did a bit of shopping - a book "The Legend of Amrapali" (haha, no cosmetics)!! I bought the book from Crossword and then I went to Gloria jeans and ordered a Cafe Mocha and curled up into one of the sofas and I was lost from this universe. Yup, I totally love reading and once I pick up a book, I generally lose all my contact with the present world.

Btw, did any one of you check out the Cadbury Gems Ganeshji in Hypercity, Hyderabad? I was missing my camera so badly then but as they say, "Eyes are the best camera". And, yup, reverting back to the title of the post - did you check out the movie? One of my friends went for it and she said its way better than the one I watched or wasted time on last week. Wish I had opted for this instead of that!!! Its a comic movie and really paisa vasool type.

Yay..my hair style stayed for an entire 5 hours!!!

I had mentioned long back that my hair is very ill-behaved and I am especially horrible in keeping hair styles for more than half hour. But, today for the first time, my hair really stayed in one hair style so that makes me soooooo happy :) No, it wasn't any intricate style. It was a simple side pony and my bangs were secured with pins so that they don't fly off in the auto!!! Still, it happened and then while watching the movie, my hair did get a bit spoiled due to rubbing with the seat back. Yes, I often sleep off in the halls :D No, I didn't sleep but I was irritated!!! But, my hair did get weighed down by the end of the day :( Gotta do something about that. Any ideas??? 

On a side note, if you are wondering which movie got me irritated, it was Heroine. Aaarghhh...I could kill MB for making such a movie and for the especially lame ending. May be it was befitting but I would have rather preferred a more ironic ending!!! First glitch was that all bits and pieces were borrowed from various movies and real life scandals and then woven into a script which was all broken and inconsistent. Second, the protagonist is weak, completely without a shred of backbone and determination, keeps on crying in the entire movie and not taking a strong footing at any point of time which is pretty irritating. Yes, I can imagine what she was going through but unfortunately, you can hardly feel as if you are involved in her story coz its too fantastic. Its not realistic at all like Page 3 or something which actually makes someone expect a lot from the movie. So, lets just say that watch it when it gets released on the television but definitely not worth wasting money to watch on big screen. The best part of the movie was Randeep Hooda who did a fantastic job (it can be called a guest appearance). Except for that, I guess the movie was loosely hanging. I often felt like it would break into the Mar Jawaan track from Fashion. Yes, its too close to fashion but the later was much better.

What should I add?

So, last week I asked you if my reviews were helpful!! Today, I wanna ask what more would you like to see n the blog - any topic, any particular series you want me to start, anything. But, please, do not say makeup because I literally suck at it!! 

Also, telling you about my plans, I do plan to revive the Bridal Files which I had started. Its just that its very difficult to write on a topic which I am not personally going through or have been through!!! So, I shall try my best but excuse me if I don't come up to the mark!!

I have been a bad blogger!!!

So, this is a belated apology post to all those readers who have sent me queries but not received any mail from me. I have over 100 of them sitting in my inbox!!! And, yes, I have been lazy, irritated and frustrated and can't say what not!!! So, please give me time to respond to your queries and I shall try my best to reply to you. If you have urgent requests, you can mark them on high priority. 

And, if you are missing the August month hair diaries, its because I had literally ignored my hair and did nothing for it. So, as a result, they are rough, dry and frizzy and unmanageable. I haven't even applied any hair mask since a month and ends have become hard enough to poke my back!!! That's something I realized when talking to my friend. So, I have started the Kamini treatment again!!! Hope my hair gets back to what it was.

What's the best compliment you ever got?

I just wanted to relate a small incident which happened today. My father has come to Hyderabad today for a few days. So, we were hungry in the evening so after much discussion, we settled on maggi and tea. Mom didn't come so all the cooking obviously fell on me!! And, before proceeding, I am not a cook at all. In fact, I don't know how to!!

So, I prepared tea and maggi. And, I was skceptical if dad would like it at all or not. And, you know what dad said? He said the tea I made reminded him of the tea he used to have when he was 12-13!!! My mom is a damn good cook and I always wish to be like her. And, this was the best compliment of my life :) Oh btw, do try sunfeast yipee. I find it better than maggi!!

A News and a Request

Eid Mubarak

Wish you all a very happy Eid. Its said that moon is not easily visible today so hope you all get to see it and wish for whatever you want :) I was leafing through Hyderabad Times or something in which there was a huge family photograph of Salman Khan which captured my attention. Its such a huge family and so diverse in religions with really no botheration to which caste or creed a person belongs to. Wish all of us enjoyed that secularism!

Happy Janmashtami!!

So, today is Krishnaji's birthday and its supposed to be a loong weekend for us but in Hyd, none of the companies are interested in celebrating the divine God's birthday so we are all toiling in the AC's!!


I don't really celebrate this festival but then any festival is supposed to be a holiday, no?? So, what are you guys doing today?? Plans to temples or ISKCON. I had been once to ISKCON Hyderabad.

I think there are two or more temples but I have been only to one and the decoration was awesome even though the temple wasn't very huge!! Wish you all a very Happy Janmashtami :)

The Big Bang Theory and Masterchef Australia

So, since I have shifted to the new place, I am really having fun!!! Ok, not so much of fun but its got its pros and cons. Now, one of the pro is having a television and I was flipping channels yesterday and came across Star World which was showing Criminal Minds. 

I liked it so continued watching after which Masterchef Australia aired which was also fun and I saw some really weird dish with capsicum called terrine. I would love to check out how to make it. And, then, it showed The Big Bang Theory. 

I have never watched it but heard a lot about it so I thought it will be great to check it out once. And, oh boy, its so hilarious. I laughed my heart out. And, since, today is the Friendship Day, they are showcasing the show for entire day. So, I am just loving it :) You should definitely check out Sheldon. He is my fav of them all :D

Happy Rakhi!!

Wish you a very very happy Rakhi :) All sisters, have fun and empty the pockets of your brothers with incessant demands. I already asked my dad a lot of money for this weekend's shopping...yay!! Oh, if you are wondering why dad?, I am an only child and the most un-pampered of the only children :( But, somehow dad felt pretty generous this year and even mom fell with his wishes :D So, I am just planning what to do with that much of money. Guess, should take advantage of the ongoing sales, right??

Some blog updates!!

So, I was really getting bored today and wasn't in a mood to work at all so spent sometime redesigning some of the blog elements. Did you notice the new look of the blog? Do you like it? How do you like it?

I know the ads are cumbersome the way they are but unfortunately they are not working out in any other layout so kindly bear with me for sometime. I will definitely try to work out some way around them.

The upcoming posts would be mainly reviews as I am AGAIN falling back on the reviews for the PR products!!! And, some other products which I am loving currently. I have misplaced my camera and  need to find it in the load of baggage I have. Probably, will do it this Saturday.
